Safety Manager-B737 Captain

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Aviation Safety Manager with B737 operational experience to lead and oversee the organisation's safety management activities while maintaining operational exposure as a B737 Pilot-in-Command.

This is primarily a Safety Management position and is not intended for B737 Captains without significant professional experience in aviation safety.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation, oversight and continuous improvement of the organisation's Safety Management System (SMS), while using their B737 operational experience to identify, assess and mitigate operational risks.

Recruitment period will be 2 months from the time of interview. 

This will be a direct hire, located in the Middle East. 

Qualifications:

• Valid ICAO ATPL or equivalent.
• Current B737 type rating.
• Current or recent B737 PIC/Captain experience.
• Significant professional experience in aviation safety.
• Demonstrable experience working with an airline or aviation operator's Safety Management System (SMS).
• Practical experience in Safety Risk Management and hazard identification.
• Experience managing or investigating occurrences, incidents and safety reports.
• Experience developing or monitoring Safety Performance Indicators (SPIs).
• Working knowledge of FDM/FOQA and the use of operational data to identify safety trends.
• Experience conducting or participating in safety audits, inspections or safety investigations.
• Strong knowledge of ICAO and applicable Civil Aviation Authority safety requirements.
• Excellent analytical, communication and report-writing skills.
