Position Overview:
Responsible for coordination and implementation of aviation security measures. He reports directly to the Accountable Executive to ensure continuous oversight and escalation of critical security issues and concerns. The PH-AVSEC has access to the highest level of management and shall have the responsibility and accountable for ensuring the implementation and maintenance of the AVSECP, Security Management System (SeMS), and for ensuring compliance with security standards and applicable regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Defining the company overall security policy for acceptance by senior management.
- Assist in developing and promulgating company-wide security standards and practices.
- Assist in the oversight, coordination and performance monitoring of contracted Security service providers to ensure compliance with GACA regulations and organizational anal standards
- Conducting AVSEC quality control activities in order to determine level of compliance with security requirements and effectiveness of security procedures
- Ensuring the AVSECP is current and submitted to the GACA for review and acceptance.
- Establishing and maintaining effective liaison and coordination with relevant authorities and stakeholders in order to contribute to the industry’s development of security systems and to comply with statutory requirements, taking into consideration the responsibilities of other relevant authorities.
- Maintaining effective liaison with other departments, and especially senior management, to facilitate the implementation of effective security measures throughout the company.
- Advising on and managing all security systems in use by the company and advising senior management on all aspects of security.
- Initiating additional security measures during periods of increased risk and/or for specific flights and routes.
Qualifications:
- Saudi Citizen
- Bachelor’s degree or certificate of training in Aviation Security Management.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in aviation environment.
- Comply with other requirements issued by GACA.
- Obtain and maintain necessary security clearances.
- Possess the required qualifications mandated by GACA in accordance with the NCASTP.
